Famine Declared in Eastern Africa

The UN reports that famine has struck Southern Somalia and many regions around the area are suffering from severe food shortages.  Care of Creation Inc. has a first hand report from missionaries serving in nearby Kenya. A famine classification means that malnutrition rates have exceeded 30 percent, that more than two people per 10,000 are dying each day, and that many cannot get access to food and other essentials.
